Dental Assistants Recognition Week
Held annually during the first full week of March, this holiday celebrates dental assistants everywhere.
Summary: Every March, dentists are encouraged to celebrate the dental assistants on their team during Dental Assistants Recognition Week. Dental Assistants Recognition Week takes place during the first full week of March. The American Dental Association, American Dental Assistants Association, Canadian Dental Assistants Association and Canadian Dental Association all recognize the observance of this holiday.
Also known as DARW, each Dental Assistants Recognition Week includes a theme for reflection. Last year’s theme was “The [Heart] of Dental Offices Through Education, Commitment, & Safety.”
What to do: There is no traditional greeting for this holiday. The American Dental Assistants Association has created a toolkit for ways to recognize and celebrate the week.
