National High Five Day
National High Five Day is a holiday dedicated to “good vibes” and high fives.
Summary: National High Five Day is a holiday dedicated to “good vibes” and high fives. It occurs each year on the third Thursday of April. The holiday began in 2002 on the University of Virginia campus when students Connor Lastowka, Sam Miotke and Wynn Walent gathered together to give out high fives to as many other students as possible. The day took off and is celebrated across the United States each year. The holiday’s founders now also utilize the holiday to raise awareness for their favorite charities, including CoachArt, which creates arts and athletics programs for children with chronic illnesses.
What to do: The best way to participate in National High Five Day is through a high five. Slap palms with a pal to celebrate!
